Organic Sunflower Oil, Beeswax, Shea Butter, Natural Flavor, Tocopherols (Natural Vitamin E)
DESCRIPTION of Oils:
Sunflower oil is the source of Vitamin E. Its large amount defines the powerful benefits of sunflower oil for skin.
-Moisturizing – Vitamin E acts as an emollient that traps moisture inside skin cells. Therefore, using sunflower oil for skin helps keep it hydrated for a longer period.
-Anti-aging activity – Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that struggles against the damage done by free radicals. Using sunflower seed oil for skin only several times per week has been known to help postpone its aging.
-Anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial activity – The anti-inflammatory benefits of sunflower oil for skin is evidently strong as the oil is high in Omega-6 (linoleic) fatty acid along with Vitamin E. The University of Maryland Medical Center reports that linoleic acid helps decrease inflammation in skin (i.e., acne, dermatitis, sunburns). The center also says that Omega-6 enhances the developing of new skin cells. Thus, sunflower oil for skin care ensures constantly rejuvenated and even skin surface.
– Skin protection – Rich in Vitamin E product maintains outer protective skin layer. Therefore, the topical use of sunflower seed oil for skin helps shield it from future environmental damage and limit moisture loss.
-Moisturizing: The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for skin. It is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skinÃs natural oils.
-Skin Smoothing: Shea butter aids in the skinÃs natural collagen production and contains oleic, stearic, palmitic and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. With long term use, many people report skin softening and strengthening as well as wrinkle reduction.
-Protective: When applied to the skin, beeswax forms a protective barrier that helps protect it from environmental assaults, while also holding in moisture and reducing dryness. This is one of the reasons beeswax is often used in lip balms. Unlike ingredients made from petroleum, however, beeswax doesnÃt ñsuffocateî the skin, and wonÃt clog pores.
-Humectant: Some ingredients ñattractî water, and beeswax is one of them. When you put it on, you attract water molecules, helping to keep skin hydrated over time.
-Vitamin A: A good source of this vitamin, beeswax helps exfoliation and can rejuvenate your look.
-Soothes temporary itching: If you suffer from dry skin itching or sensitive skin, beeswax is for you. Because beeswax is anti-allergenic, it is also easily tolerated by even those with reactive skin.
